Winter High school clothes /u/jotyalo /r/malefashionadvice

So i moved to new york state very recently from a central american country and i have no winter clothes apart from a some jackets and hoodies. Im starting high school next week and need to buy clothes not only for school but for being outside during the next months. Im 17 and in my junior year so take that into consideration. So im asking if anyone has any recomendations or advice that could be useful while buying clothes and also which type of clothes I should buy (The more specific the better).

edit: I’m not trying to pursue a good style or anything like that. Im just trying to survive until i have enough time to think about what im wearing.
