Hey guys, I’ve been playing MHW for almost 80 hours now, still not even done unlocking all the Elder Dragons (wanting to get every weapon variant does that to a man), I’m enjoying myself greatly and am looking forward to Iceborne. However, I’ve got loads on my plate and plenty of other games I still wanna dig into, so I am definitely playing with the goal of “finishing” the game in some way. I realized a while ago that Monster Hunter is the kinda game you can blow hundreds of hours into if you want, and after finishing the base progression (aka the Story mode) there’s still loads of what MMO players would call Endgame to grind out.
I’m not opposed to the idea, but I definitely am not looking to achievement hunt or really care to play with other players, so my question is – what should I definitely look to complete or achieve to get the core Monster Hunter experience without missing out on something big? For example, I read the Ancient Leshen, a Witcher 3 tie-in Boss, is apparently permanently scaled to 4 players so not worth even trying for me. Then there’s Alatreon, who is apparently such a challenge it caused players to rage-quit and review-bomb Iceborne (lmao), so I definitely wanna try him at the end. What else is on the Definitely do and Can Skip lists?
