Reminders from the Mod Team /u/LilMzB Sex

It’s a new year and it’s been a while since we’ve had a reminder post, so here goes.

Firstly, we hope everyone is doing well going into this new year. We’re all happy to still be doing this with many of you and we hope to continue providing the best quality moderation that we’re able to provide. Toward that end, we’d like to remind you that it’s not feasible for us to read each post and comment here.

Our AutoMod (due to fantastic work by a small handful of our mods) does a great deal of work to keep the forum safe and as near to free of trolls as we can manage. We also see a few of them on our own and deal with them. However, we rely heavily on user reports to keep r/sex safe. It’s anonymous to report another user for Rule breaking behavior. Please don’t hesitate.

Important note to those who don’t realize: This is not an 18+ forum. That means that all users that are allowed on Reddit are allowed in r/sex. Aged 13 and up. Why? Because no matter how “adults” feel about it, teenagers have sex with each other and this forum has always had a lean toward education.

We encourage all users to block DMs when making a post here. Guide for that here. Additionally, report any user who messages unsolicited and sexual content to you, directly to Reddit. When someone sends you a chat request, there’s a report feature right under “Ignore” and “Accept”. We also encourage minors to not use their ages in their posts, though it is not against the Rules to do so.

This is the Group Rules post that is pinned to the top of our page. Ignoring them does not get you a pass if you’re banned. We do not accept “I didn’t read them” as a viable excuse. If you have questions regarding a specific Group Rule or Posting Guideline, we’d be happy to clarify for you and prefer to answer that way, as opposed to banning when something is posted that wasn’t allowed.

Last note: Over the past few months, we made our Daily Sexual Achievement post into a weekly one, which is available most of the week. The rest of the week, we have a Simple Questions thread, which can be for more basic education stuff and doesn’t have to be actionable advice (but still can be). Anyone can answer these questions, so feel free to check it out. We do try to routinely answer questions in it.

Joy and love to all.
