I saw some video of a Russian troop surrendering to Ukranians, but it wasn’t the surrender but the surrounding background in the video – the apartment building they were in, it was more bullet hole than building, making me wonder who, and when, cleans it up? They won’t be bullet holes forever, but it feels like its everyhere. And patching a wall is one thing, but what about bodies, guns, left over mines, barricades that were built to last, etc.
How long after war, and in what way is stuff cleaned or rebuilt? Demolish and start over, or rebuild from whats there?
