I usually dont use Reddit but I’ve been teaching myself Python and dont have anyone else to ask. So here goes nothing:
I made my first serious project and its working but i’ve got no clue if it’s actually good or not…
Its an API using fastapi that is supposed to support a website/app where users can search for firstnames / baby names. The actual website is being build by someone else and is still a WIP. But the idea is that you and your partner can join a group to easily find names both of you like. You can filter names by gender, starting letter(s), letter(s) anywhere and/or country where its prevelant.
I found the original name database online which was free to use but ive altered it heavily to support my own need. The DB is in SQLite.
