Is there a workaround to play a game without updating? /u/SalemKFox Steam on Reddit

Some of my games are forcing me to update even though I am offline. Not even launching from the executable is allowing me by. Unfortunately I won’t always have access to internet (or even good enough to download anything let alone play online) such is the navy gamer lifestyle. So updating is unfortunately not an option for me.

I don’t plan on playing online at all mind you, I just want to play a few matches of DragonBall Sparking Zero with friends locally, plus updates kinda messes up my stage switching mod.

While we’re at it, I’d love a way to keep steam from forgetting I already launched the game online already.
