Any advice on fatalis /u/Standard-Law1449 Monster Hunter: World

I beat alatreon but mannn this black dragon just won’t die😭😭😭. I know it’s 100 percent a skill issue but I’m getting absolutely destroyed over here I have over 800 hours of play time on this game I love it so much and it wouldn’t feel right jumping into wilds before beating fatalis.

So is there any tips or ways to deal with this monster? I use Longsword but also pretty proficient with great sword and I have just about the best build I could make before fatalis himself.

I’m not looking for the magic cheat code that makes him easy but I’m clearly doing something wrong here. How did you beat him solo and how can I improve as a hunter?
