Was the legendary bear supposed to respawn? /u/Therealrawgosh Red Dead Redemption

I think it was in chapter 4 that it respawned, and I had killed it pretty early on in the game. And even in the epilogue it respawned. Am I supposed to have this many legendary bear furs? lol
