Stopping Birth control to improve sex? /u/K17K4t Sex

Hey y’all. So I’m considering stopping my bc for a couple reasons and one of the biggest is to see how sex changes. I’ve been on oral bc for 5 years and have never had penetrative sex without it. Before starting bc, I had no problem getting wet/turned on, but since starting and to this day it’s difficult. It used to not bother me, but it’s upsetting my partner due to me not wanting sex because it just doesn’t feel that great (start to hurt quickly) and I get frustrated with my body. So my question for anyone with similar experiences, did stopping your bc change how your body responded to sex and how long did it take for you to notice changes?
