Not sexually attracted to an attractive female friend? /u/svg1001 Sex

I (24M) have known my best friend S (24F) since we were toddlers. We pretty much grew up together and spent countless summers together. Despite our deep bond, we never developed romantic feelings for one another. I recognize that she’s objectively attractive but I’m not physically attracted to her. She feels the same.

Over the last few years I’ve been constantly getting teased (especially by guys) about our friendship. People refuse to believe that I simply see her as a best friend and have no sexual desire for her whatsoever. I’ve been accused of all sorts of things: I must be gay, I must be lying and suffering in the friend zone, I must have a humiliation fetish etc.

Just last week we were told by a (very) drunk girl that us two seem like we have “mind blowing sex”. This was random and S said we don’t, as in, we don’t have sex at all and the girl gave me a look of pity. She even told me she’s “sorry”.

Recently we were asked by someone if we’re FWB at the very least. These unsolicited comments and questions used to create awkward situations but at this point we just laugh it off.

We’re both in relationships and our SOs have no problems with our friendship.
