What should my new wardrobe consist of? /u/Stunning_Recover_548 /r/malefashionadvice

Hey everyone!

I’m doing a complete overhaul of my wardrobe for 2025. After years of wearing the same clothes, I’m ready for a fresh start and want to build something more cohesive and practical.

I’m trying to figure out what I need before I start buying, so I can plan it out properly. Specifically, I’m thinking about what type of clothing ill need and how many of each.

I’m a 25-year-old guy living in Australia, so my go-to outfits are T-shirts and shorts most of the year, and chinos/jeans in the cooler months. I’m looking for a wardrobe that works for casual daily wear but is also practical enough for getting hands-on or dirty when needed. Also needing to find stuff for when I go out (button up, Suit pants etc)

One big goal is to keep my wardrobe small but versatile—enough variety to avoid wearing the same thing every day, without ending up with unnecessary clutter.

Does anyone have any tips, resources, or guides they’ve followed for building a minimalist yet practical wardrobe? I’d love to hear your advice!
