Misinformation regarding H1B on this sub /u/NoMagician5628 CSCQ protests reddit

I don’t know why this sub is becoming an immigration sub but anyways the point of this post is to talk about the misinformation spreading regarding H1B on this sub.

This post https://www.reddit.com/r/cscareerquestions/s/0LyJexCX9W got upvoted without people even reviewing what the context is. The post was spreading misinformation that H1B caps were being when in reality it’s the Green card per country cap that is being in consideration. This doesn’t affect the current job market as it is for people who already have jobs and helps them stop an employer from exploiting them. I am seeing multiple posts like these that are spreading misinformation.

Regardless of your views on immigration I think it’s important to not spread wrong information and blame immigrants for everything. People with no idea about immigration are making some of these posts. If you want to curb immigration target L1 visa which has no caps whatsoever or Day 1 CPT which is being abused.
