Why does Pam get mad at Brian the boom guy? /u/OliviaStarling People Person’s Paper People

Pam seems awkward showing up to Brian the Boom-guy’s house when the office asked her to get the details of the documentary in season 9. It seems like she knows Brian likes and knows her intimately. Why does Pam go from a mission to ask Brian about the documentary, to her asking questions about her marriage, and then immediately getting upset as if it was all Brian’s fault? Maybe the extra scenes explain it better, but I’ve always wondered during each re-watch.
