Okay so when I eat shrimp, my lips swell up and get really itchy, borderline painful. There’s welts on the inside of my mouth and stuff like that, but that’s the extent of the symptoms.
I never had this before up until a few years ago. I can eat all other types of seafood with no problems. It’s also only certain types of shrimp that do this too.
Is there an actual scientific explanation for this or does my immune system just choose to like shrimp one day and not the other?
