Finallyy got enough karma to post this, and on mobile so I’ll keep it simple.
I’m wrapping up my degree in CS and one of the final requirements I need to meet is completing an internship for a semester. My current internship is in Linux admin (which will count towards my requirement) but I want to work as a software developer. I didn’t come from a Linux background at all, and although I’ve learned some valuable stuff by myself, I don’t feel as though I have enough resources or training within my role. The team I work on is incredibly small so I’m usually on my own with some problems.
I can explain in further detail about any questions you guys may have but I could use some advice. Do I keep this internship for graduation purposes? Do I drop it and look for another internship? Would staying in this role for another few months shoot myself in the foot? I will also be doing 3 other classes including senior projects during this final semester.
Thanks in advance.
