Hi, I (19f) just got an iud within the past week and decided to start having sex again a couple days after and my bf (21m) informed me that the strings have been hurting him whenever we have sex now. I honestly can kind of feel them too when they rub against the inside of me when he’s in which makes it a bit uncomfortable but I think he’s getting the worst of it during sex. He said it feels like a ziptie poking his penis and it hurts and itches afterwards. I really don’t know what to do for this and I know it’ll eventually lessen overtime but I’m now considering asking for the strings to be trimmed a bit next time I go see my gyno. My main concern is that I just don’t want to be hurting him too much during sex, especially since we have sex a lot and I don’t want this to ruin our sex life.
