New Dnd 2024 Rules make magic stone good? /u/Reel_siense DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Magic stone is a spell where more or less you pick up a few rocks and they become magical and you can use your spell casting modifier to make an attack which deals 1d6 + spell casting mod. For a warlock, usually you would use eldritch blast because the main eldritch invocations only worked on it. But now elderitch invocations work on any cantrips so using agonizing blast it can now potentially deal up to 1d6+6+4 damage on a hit at level 2. That is a minimum of 11 damage average of 13.5 whereas eldritch blast with the same build has a minimum of 5 and an average of 6.5.

Additionally, though they do not get the +cha to damage you can give these magical rocks to your allies and they use your spell casting modifier.

In conclusion, unless i have missed something, it is now officially viable to be a warlock who’s main form of attack is throwing rocks.
