I had a DVT (blood clot) while pregnant and I can’t take hormonal birth control. I tried the copper IUD it worked for 9 months, but was causing extra bleeding and then it expelled. I didn’t get another one after talking to my husband about it. I was on blood thinner for 6 months after giving birth and got the IUD placed a week after I stopped the blood thinner. So, I haven’t had a normal period since giving birth. He said it was fine and we’ll just use condoms. It’s not working out though. He can’t stay hard with them and apparently I’m not wet enough, we use lube and have tried many kinds. He’s tried jacking off with a condom on and he can do that though, it takes longer for him to finish. I don’t want another IUD and he can’t afford a vasectomy. Neither of us have insurance. A nurse recommended Heather, but it says to not take it with a history of DVT. It’s progestin only and she said was safe in women who had DVT while pregnant. I’m scared to take them. I have also tried phexxi, it burns and seems to not be very effective. We absolutely do not want any more children. Has anyone ever had this issue with birth control or any advice that may help?? He’s been angry about it, but won’t talk to me. Except, that he thinks I don’t want to have sex with him and he thinks his dick is broken. He doesn’t want to use condoms because they “Don’t work for him.” I’m not risking getting pregnant again. He asks and I say no he then acts salty, but doesn’t say anything about it.
