Why are some men so hesitant to use condoms with casual or one-night partners despite the well-known risks of STDs? /u/hugcozy No such thing as stupid questions

In the limited casual sexual encounters I’ve had, I’ve noticed that men often seem eager to have unprotected sex. They frequently prefer it without a condom and may even be eager to engage in oral sex with someone they’ve just met, regardless of their sexual history. They often claim that it’s more pleasurable for them without a condom.

Having recently been diagnosed with HPV myself, I find it difficult to understand why some people take such significant risks with their sexual health. I wonder how casual sex has become so prevalent despite the considerable health risks associated with it.
