I bought the high slim yosemites about six months ago to ball out. By far the priciest clothes I’ve ever owned and I was hoping they’d last me a lifetime. I got a 33, which is my normal size in jeans.
I guess this was a mistake cause I didn’t know RRL vanity sized, so when they came I loved everything besides the waist, which stretched out so much that even with a belt they bunched together and slipped down my hips.
I sent them to Railcar for a downsizing, and I sent the exact measurements of a pair of jeans that are perfect. We decided on a 2 inch downsizing for those exact measurements, so down to a 31 in RRL-size.
They did a great job as I expected but after a few days of wearing the jeans, they stretched out again, almost to the same original size! WTF? Railcar says they can’t downsize further since this would taper too close to the coin pocket. Washing the jeans helps for about an hour and then they stretch out again. Are these just the world’s stretchiest jeans or something?
And if they are, what do other people do when buying RRLs? I would love to try again if this is just a pair-specific problem.
