Do Americans actually call their little brothers „little brother“? /u/Youpi_Yeah No such thing as stupid questions

This is something I keep seeing in movies, even when it’s already well-established that the characters are siblings. But in my language it would be so strange to address your little brother as „little brother“ instead of their name, so I still wonder if that’s done mainly for exposition or if people actually do that in real life.
