So I was in a bad accident last Monday. Had 2 surgeries last week and the 3rd 3 days ago. That surgery was a whole mess and is a whole different story. Got out of recovery and the nurse that they assigned to me was one I found to be really really inattentive previously and didn’t want to deal with that after that shit show of a surgery. So ask to see the head nurse and asked her to switch me to someone else. She got a bit more defensive than I was expecting about it and kept digging I finally just said I felt she was inattentive and wasn’t comfortable with her taking care of me. Everything was fine till yesterday and the night crew came on. Completely missed my 7pm medication figured they’re busy whatever. Finally about 8 I’m hitting the ringer. About 8:45 someone finally comes to the room. At this point my legs are on fire explained the situation said she’d be right back. Another 40min go by hit the bell and a tech comes say’s she’ll find the nurses. Couple minutes go by the head nurse comes in with the meds so at this point I’m a day out of surgery a without meds for 5hrs. Same kinda thing happened tonight but it was 4 hours this time. I feel like this is retaliation for saying I didn’t want the one nurse. I’m also afraid to go to the patient advocate or whoever is above the HNIC to complain because this could just get worse. Am I just screwed here or is there a way to unfuck this?
