My bf thinks I have daddy issues bc I needed extra reassurance after sex /u/Busy-Bat-171 Sex

My bf (23m) and I (25f) have been dating for a while and recently started having sex. During one of the times, I was indulging in one of his kinks that was new to me, a little out of my comfort zone, I was having fun, I just felt vulnerable. It ended with me swallowing for the first time after which I almost puked.

Afterwards I felt very drained. We usually cuddle after but this time I needed it longer. I almost started crying. He started saying reassurances like “everything is okay” “we’re all safe” “it’s just me and you” I felt so much better.

I was freaked that it was working. Why did I need aftercare like that? We hadn’t done anything dom/sub (never have). When I asked him, he danced around it, until I finally dragged it out of him. He said (paraphrasing) that’s typically what works for girl with daddy issues. Which didn’t sit well with me.

My perspective is I don’t have “daddy issues”, I have an anxiety order and a very tough few years losing a lot of people or it was just an emotionally charged and vulnerable session after a long exhausting weekend.

I looked it up online and I don’t think I fit the criteria. Tbf I also like being praised but I thought that was because I was new and he’s not a big talker.

Is he right does it sound like I have daddy issues? Any ideas why I reacted like that? Or do I need to be concerned?

Tldr: my boyfriend thinks I have daddy issues bc I needed reassurance after sex
