Has anyone else noticed that there’s nothing to do pull-ups on in parks anymore? Growing up, there were always some pull-up bars, or even monkey bars at every park. /u/PeteyMcPetey No such thing as stupid questions

I know playgrounds are built for kids, but there’s always been some pull-up bars or something you can hang off of when you want to knock a few out or stretch your back a bit.

I wanted to add some pull-ups to my early morning walks around the neighborhood, but there’s literally nothing to do them on.

Even at the big neighborhood park with tennis courts, a giant playground, and a softball field.

Ever since, this has kind of been on the back of my mind as I drive around town, and I realized that it’s kind of the same for all the parks in the whole area.

All the playground equipment looks like some weird modern art sculpture instead of something fun, and there’s no bars, anywhere.

Has some regulatory agency determined that pull-ups aren’t safe anymore or something?

Was just curious if maybe it’s just in my area, or if this is also happening elsewhere?
