I don’t want to be a virgin anymore, but how? /u/throwaway42-42-42 Sex

I’m 25F. I have always been into men, and I was around 17 when I seriously started wanting to have sex with them. But somehow I never found the right guy to do it with, so I’m still a virgin and I haven’t even kissed anyone.

I’m sort of a late bloomer and pretty shy. I also grew up in a religious environment so sex felt a little taboo to me for a long time. I don’t talk about sex with my closest friends, we’re all a bit awkward about that stuff.

My worry is that I feel as if I have gone without sex so long that I’ll never get around to actually doing it with someone. It almost seems like something people only do in books and movies, but of course I know that’s not true.

How do I actually become sexually active (in a safe way)? Do people even have sex nowadays?

I’m starting a new job in a bigger city soon so hopefully I’ll have more opportunities to meet someone then.
