Trouble having sex after 2 years. Will dilators help? /u/Sufficient_Soup2802 Sex

I (30F) haven’t had sex in 2 years and during this dry spell I always pleasured myself externally. I tried having sex with someone a few weekends ago with no prep leading up to it (which I realize was stupid of me) and I couldn’t get him in. He was more “girthy” than the average penis (probably around 6in) and certainly the largest I’ve ever had to work with. I also had trouble getting wet without lube and he initially couldn’t get anything more than a finger in.

Obviously I would like to get back into having sex regularly but I feel more ‘snug’ now than before so here’s what I’m wondering:

Would dilators help my vagina get back into it?

Could this be a case of secondary vaginismus?

Would could I do to get more wet during foreplay? No matter how horny I am, I simply don’t get wet enough and penetration feels difficult because of this

Any tips from someone who’s experience a similar situation would be greatly appreciated! It’s quite frustrating to feel this way – it’s like my body has forgotten how to have sex..
