I have been with my boyfriend now for 6 months (both in our final year of sixth form) and things with us are really happy. I love him and he loves me, but we still haven’t had sex. We have done things other than sex which feel just as good and I popped him the question about 2 months ago about feeling comfortable enough to finally have sex with him. He is Christian but has told me he is not celibate and has told me he just wants to wait until the time is right. It’s our 6 month anniversary in a few days and my parents are away this weekend, so I was planning on asking him again about the possibility of us having sex. I want to make it clear: I don’t need sex to be happy. I’m just at the point where things in our relationship are so good, but I want to take this next step with him. What I’m asking for is how to ask him again. Last time I told him I was ready and I’d wait for him until he felt comfortable, but I’m scared of asking again and seeming desperate. We haven’t properly talked about having sex since the last time I asked so just wondering if anyone could give me any tips on how to ask him without sounding desperate. If he says no and he still wants to wait that’s completely okay and I won’t push it until he’s fully comfortable with it, but I just thought it would make sense to ask again as it is our 6 months
