For example, say my real name is Michael and someone asks me if I prefer Michael or Mike. I tell them:
“I like both Michael and Mike. Either way is good with me. I prefer Mike a little more but both are good”.
Is that response strange at all? I’m asking because one or two times I responded that way and I think the person asking me took it as an odd response.
One time a person at work said “were just trying to connect with you. You can say which name you prefer”.
Then, another time someone just looked at me in confusion for like 5 seconds after I said that response.
