Who do you feel like is still the dream tech/non-tech big company to work for after all the negative shit tech folks have gone through in the past 2+ years? /u/CommercialBig7008 CSCQ protests reddit

For me, it seems like Apple is still the dream company most developers would want to work for. Compare the number of people Apple has laid off to the other FAANG companies (and Microsoft), it’s like nothing. Say what you want about them making the same iPhone every year but they seem like the ideal company to work for if you’re still chasing that 2010s dream tech lifestyle.

Meanwhile there are other companies like Google who will always be a dream tech company to work for, but man their reputation got hit hard in the last 2+ years. Fuck Sundar Pichai and his obsession with cost cutting by offshoring jobs to people who will accept pennies and turning Google’s workforce into a WITCH company. He was also at the inauguration beside the other three tech assholes we all hate: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/jan/20/trump-inauguration-tech-executives

I used to love Sundar and I swear every young person’s tech dream was to work for Google (and it still is to be honest) but that dream doesn’t hit the same anymore. Any other big company (tech/non-tech) you still feel like is still the dream place for a developer to work for that will give you that 2010s tech lifestyle most of us dreamed of when we were younger? Things like work life balance, salary, benefits, job security, opportunities to grow, etc.
