I am considered myself lucky as I got an apprenticeship/part-time job at a startup firm via a connection. BUT the firm never signed a contract with me, they only promised me a stipend in the future. They are a startup and still trying to look for revenue. I talked to the founder, and truth be told, money isn’t my focus and I am not doing full time for them. I work maybe 2-3 hours max for them every week, it’s really more for my learning, When will I get paid? I don’t know. How much would that be? I don’t know. How long is the apprenticeship? I don’t know. But I am learning a lot and I am glad that I have an internship on my resume, even though I only went to a bootcamp. My question is what’s my next step? I imagine it’s possible for me to stay as long as I want. How long should I stay to be attractive to jobs?
