My steam gift card code on a recipt did not work /u/Potato-Delight Steam on Reddit

I few days ago I bought a 50 dollar steam gift card at GameStop and I received only a recipt displaying the code as well as a reference ID. I tried the code and it didn’t work. GameStop employee said to contact steam with the reference ID if the code didn’t work. I contacted steam through email and they responded with “Thank you for contacting Valve. This email address is no longer monitored.” Is there another email that works? I also contacted GameStop and they said they were validating the code but haven’t responded in a while. I hope there’s a solution to all of this because it was expensive and I should have gotten the cardboard gift card.
