I don’t get Conda’s update mechanism and its consequences. /u/peterpansdiary Python Education

  1. I can’t seem to update Anaconda nor Python, currently stuck at 24 while newest is 25. Specificall I can’t update to Python>3.12. Searching online didn’t help.
  2. If stuck at a lower version, will things eventually break?
  3. If I were to save my previous environments to the reinstalled Conda, will they break?
  4. If none of these are the case, why can’t I just update all?

Edit: Well at least there is one solution that works, kind of, https://stackoverflow.com/a/40777297.
