How long do companies usually hold out to prospective employees? /u/Spitfire_ex CSCQ protests reddit

I have an ongoing contract/bond with my current company which prevents me from resigning until the end of June. I am wondering if it is fair game to start applying as early as now or should I do it within 3 months before the end of my contract.

Note: I will still be employed after my contract ends. It’s just that I can’t resign until then.
