I think changes are expected around the new estates (e.g. Tengah, Bidadari, Tampines North). I came across a comment on Facebook suggesting that Tampines North might become an SMC. It’s a valid assumption, considering the large population in Tampines. Personally, though, I think Tampines should not be split. Its boundaries have remained largely unchanged for many years, and I think this continuity has created a somewhat stronger sense of identity among Tampines residents.
