Our wizard had us “rolling” with laughter. /u/defyinglogicsl DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Our party’s wizard “Zzapp” has been playing ttrpgs since before dnd even existed. Old guy with a really long white beard. He’s awesome. His main set of dice are almost round just from years of wear. I mean he looks exactly like you would expect a real wizard to look and he’s always imparting wisdom in and out of game. We all love Zzapp

We usually play with figs but he always just borrowed a generic wizard fig from the dm. So my wife offered to pick out and paint a fig for him of his own. We asked for his input on looks and color but he said whatever she decided was fine. So we presented him his fig last night and he looks it over then says “this is awesome, but I didn’t realize Zzapp had a beard”

Everyone lost it. He was being serious. He had never mentioned not having a beard but we had all assumed long white beard like a stereotypical wizard and since that is exactly how he looked.

We may make him a new beardless wizard fig.
