Is this normal or not? /u/throweggway2357 CSCQ protests reddit

Hey everyone, Recently started a low-code “programmer” (mostly just IT support and emails) position which I don’t like much for a variety of reasons, but one thing that sticks out to me is that we have to fill out an itemized timesheet every day, listing exactly what we were doing all day in 15-min intervals. I am salaried, not hourly. Is this normal?? Not the end of the world, but I just thought that we would be given a bit more trust as devs. Do most companies really monitor their developers’ time this closely?
