Good gamepad controller that works with steam games and has Playstation button layout? /u/MattLockhartIII Steam on Reddit

I’m looking for a controller that works with steam, PlayStation button layout, and the games will actually show a playstation button layout in-game when showing button prompts/controls (this last part may be asking too much idk).

I currently use a Nintendo Switch PDP (afterglow?) wired controller, and it works for most steam games, but the button layout is annoying (I’ve used playstation my whole life) and to make matter worse, in-game prompts are ALWAYS mapped to the XBOX layout which is the reverse of the steam controller, e.g. when it wants me to press the topmost button (‘X’ on my gamepad) is says ‘Y’, and when it wants the right-most button pressed (‘A’ on my gamepad), it says ‘B’.

Regardless, even if I can fix that mapping issue (which would be helpful), I still just want a good gampad that works as well as this afterglow, but with Playstation buttons that map to the in-game prompts.
