Was a developer who mostly developed in-house application software in Java and C#. Now weary of or burned out from development, and looking at what else I can possibly do with my experience and skills.
Recently, my recent hobbies/focus are more into:
- PowerShell scripting,
- Playing around with GitHub Actions,
- Remastering Linux,
- Watching Linux distribution review videos,
- Trying out software setup packaging like NSIS, Inno Setup and MSI kind of stuffs.
Can anyone suggests specialized job roles/titles I should focus on?
I have this vague idea that my interests at the moment is about automation and deployment. Automation engineer, DevOps engineer, support engineer of some kind maybe? Or the only way is to go back to being a developer or tech lead? I am prepared for a paycut or relegation to an entry level role. It’s like pressing reset on my entire developer career which was going nowhere either.
