I’m on the second semester of my PhD, but I’m planning to finish the second year and leave with master’s. I’m actively applying for internships, but quite a few of them have a strong preference towards people available for full-time employment in 2026. While in reality, I’ll be on the market by that time, technically my PhD is until 2028. Do you think I should modify my resume to indicate that I’ll actually get master’s and will be out by 2026?
