Used to play RS3 and have been a long time lurker of OSRS forms, and regular consumer of OSRS YouTube content. With all the controversy surrounding MTX and the proposed changes that Jagex polled I saw a surge of protest that made it abundantly clear of the love you guys have for the game.
But what’s impressed me even more is that now things are starting to simmer, alternative monetization options are being pitched to Jagex by you. You’re actively telling the corporation how you would want to spend money, and what they should invest in if they’re so keen on upping profits beyond the draw of membership.
I really hope Jagex listens. I hope investors see this as more than a cash cow (they won’t) but at least recognize the power this community holds and how creative you are with your feedback beyond the pitchforks. The past couple weeks have been a masterclass for how to get a point across to greedy corporations. Well done, and hope to see this game continue to thrive ✊🏽
