Picked up two Sony XB100’a from eBay for about $50 total. They’re small, discrete, super easy to stereo pair, and their sound is slightly muffled and less thumpy but that’s actually been nice as to not “speak” over top of players. I placed them about 3ft away from my left and right, but they sounded nice right on the table too.
What speakers or track sources do you guys like to use for background sounds or combat music?
