Seeking an advice /u/Puzzleheaded-Bar5127 Python Education

Hello everyone,

I’m looking to start a paid course or bootcamp with a high likelihood of landing a job. While I know there are no guarantees, I want something that will give me a solid foundation and help me build skills that increase my chances of finding employment.

I’m 18 years old and interested in learning Python, particularly focusing on web development (I’m thinking Flask to start, as Django seems harder, but I’m open to suggestions).

I’ve heard about various options, including courses affiliated with universities, as well as bootcamps like Springboard, The Wagon, App Academy, and many others. I’m seeking advice on which one to choose. I’m ready to invest financially, as my main priority is gaining the skills needed to secure a job. Ideally, I’d prefer 1-on-1 mentorship, and I’ve seen that Springboard offers this, though I’m not sure if they focus on Python specifically.

I don’t have any prior programming experience or knowledge, but I’ve bought the “100 Days of Python” course by Angela Yu. I’m unsure whether this will be useful since I’m planning to join a bootcamp—what do you think?

Just to note, from what I’ve seen in programming so far, I’m a bit worried that it might be too difficult for me, or that I might not be capable of doing it because my math skills aren’t the best. Also, memorizing all the code seems like a mission impossible for me. How do I deal with these thoughts? I really want to understand how people manage to memorize so many specific pieces of code without forgetting them. A friend of mine mentioned that it’s not about memorizing the code, but rather understanding what each code does. Is that true?
