I’ve had neurological issues which have severely worsened over the past year, I feel like I have dementia. My work performance has been impacted and I was nearly PIPed. I feel worse every week, whenever I ruminate on my past failings I nearly vomit. Now a family member is in critical condition and I have zero motivation to work right now.
All of my healthcare providers agree I need a break. Primary care is willing to sign forms supporting FMLA leave. But I don’t want to go without income for a few months, especially because I don’t know what will happen when I return (may get PIPed, I may be unable to return to work in the end)
Does Amazon in Washington offer paid medical leave?
- I will check the HR website when I get back home (out of town for a few days with MLK weekend and don’t have access to my work computer right now.) But given my condition there is a high probability that even if they do offer it I won’t find the proper forms, or I’ll misread them and misinterpret the exact benefits, etc
