We got a water based strawberry flavored lube and we are not sure if it is edible or not /u/GlassesOfWisdom Sex

Wife and I are newly wed we are trying out some flavored lube as it adds flavor (pun intended). We got a local brand that lists the following ingredients with the following wording and order:

It contains:

Aloe vera, Vit E, Citric acid, perfume, purified water, mono propylene glycol.

and then it follows with: External use only, Do not ingest, and Use only in designated area

We bought it for the main purpose of its flavor and that it is “edible lube” since flavored.

We did taste it before reading the label. Please advise. Is it normal legal loopholes warnings and safe to use or avoid using it completely? what other edible lubes do you recommend?
