Is it okay to completely ignore the government for the next 4 years? /u/throwanon31 No such thing as stupid questions

I know the word “ignorant” has a negative connotation. But I truly believe that ignorance is bliss. I need some bliss in my life y’all. Politics and the news and the government are all so stressful and dark. I have no control over it except my vote, and I will continue voting. Why get stressed and depressed and angry over something I can’t control? I kinda want to completely ignore it all for the next few years and focus on things I can control. Does that make me a bad, ignorant, out of touch person who doesn’t care about important things and how they impact other humans who might not be as privileged as me and can’t just ignore them? I feel like I need to prioritize me and my wellbeing.
