How to automate accounting? I have no clue. /u/melon_breads Python Education

Ok I am not an accountant but I am just a low level account assistant.

Imo like clerk job.

Do alot of data entry into software , post invoice , key in data into excel. For example claims etc.

And than sent statement to customers etc. I am wondering how can automate the process.

I need to sent by 1 by the email. Also the accounting software they use is NAV 2009 version.

It’s very old.

I know some SQL too because I have a diploma in CS but ended up in accounts. For 2 years now. I did try to self learn automation for excel it didn’t really help.

And this company I am working in. Even the statement it’s downloaded from the accounting software one by one. Than convert to pdf already I to go into excel click the link for the customer than sent them invoice or statement every month.

It’s very time consuming.

Any of you have any advice like how can I auto down from the accounting software than auto sent to the customer. For their invoice and statement of account?

It would literally safe me tons of time.

Not only that now we implemented e invoice with literally lack of training from the company , and the company doesn’t want to upgrade the software.

So by right the software will generate a QR code automatically and it’s already fix in the invoice.That I posted.

But due to how old the software is and it’s obsolete. It will generate the QR code but i need to manually pick the QR code file as jpeg and import it in the software per invoice.

Than print the document out physically , and pdf it and sent to the customer by email.

I have no access to their database.

It’s just files in the server that we extracted 1 by 1 convert into PDF than save in the server.
