What’s the point of working hard/delivering extra if my peers get the same rating as me? /u/Vegetable_Tension498 CSCQ protests reddit

So I’ve been working in this company for a year now as fresher (PBC) (graduated 2024) as a Software Engineer. In this one year, I’ve given multiple sessions to my team as they were new to a framework which they would be working, helped onboard 4 other senior engineers to this framework (would basically solve all their doubts and help them with bugs) and basically I am the tech lead for this framework. If something goes wrong, I’m called.

Yet what is the point of this if I get the same meet expectation rating as my friends who joined with me a year ago in January and thus the same hike? What’s the point if we get promoted at the same time? I honestly feel and deserve to be promoted this quarter because I don’t know if this company has ever seen an engineer like me with 1 YoE giving sessions and helping seniors with a part of tech stack. Should I raise this to my manager in next one on one?
