Let’s say the requirements for society to “continue functioning as normal are:

– Every country government, barring a few exceptionally small ones, still exists as institutions with authority over the vast majority of the areas they have authority on right now.

– Electricity, water, and wi-fi is largely still available in the same places as now OR can be brought back quickly.

– The economic recession caused by it is recoverable within one lifetime.
