Sticking to iOS or accepting a move to two platforms /u/leftcereal CSCQ protests reddit

Hi, So I’m an iOS dev with about 4.5 years exp. About 2 years ago I started working at current project, but during that my team got divided in half and I was basically keeping by myself one app, before there were 2 apps, lately a web dev was assigned to iOS, and I feel that there’s not enough of work in iOS for 2 people. During last year I also helped building a small Flutter app.

Lately I had a talk with supervisors, and they told me to be more responsible for the app, so go to meetings with client and analysis people who make documents about proposed changes etc., and to also work on Android app, and “manage” it the same way. And that maybe after 6 months we could talk about a raise. (last was slightly more than 1 year ago) It seems to me it will take at least a year.

I think that it’s better to stick to one platform. Am I wrong? What would you do?
