Is there a way to have longer/slower sex post kids? /u/Short-Character-1420 Sex

We have a toddler in preschool, a 5 month old who’s still at home and refuses bottles, my husband works from home but his job is demanding, and I got laid off recently so am home too. We cosleep at night and baby doesn’t last that long with naps unless it’s contact naps. We have a good split of duties but are usually a bit overwhelmed with everything. We also have grandparents a few hours away, but they can only handle one at a time and baby can’t stay for that long away from me yet. All that for context on where we are with the kids.

We do have pretty regular sex despite having kids but it’s sometimes kind of stressful 😅 (like if it’s during naps, we’re always wondering, will they wake up? If toddler’s independent playing but baby’s asleep, we’re always wondering, will toddler find us?, etc), and always very fast for the parenthesis reasons.

We were reminiscing about the old days where we’d be more playful around sex during the day and take a longer time. Like maybe not wearing anything during a game, dressing up or role playing, etc. Now at most we are flirty during the day if toddler won’t notice, but obviously we don’t want our kids to see anything even that! Anything more seems impossible and kind of exhausting between kids and work.

Or is it? Has anyone figured this out and have tips???
